New Avellino coach Alessandro Nesta is working with the club's management and sports director Mario Aiello on building the team for the upcoming season. According to Sportchannel, Nesta has requested two midfielders. One of them is 23-year-old Italian Alessandro Bianco. Owned by Fiorentina, Bianco spent the last season on loan at PAOK Saloniki, where he made 24 appearances and scored two goals, including six games in the Europa League. The player has 7 caps for Italy's U21 team and is set to return to Fiorentina, where a decision on his future will be made. It is considered unlikely he will remain with the club. His contract with Fiorentina runs until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €4.50m. Avellino will consequently try to approach Fiorentina to satisfy the new manager's request. Recent reports from April 2026 state that PAOK holds an option to buy the player for a purchase price of around €4 million.
