Alessandro Bastoni Transfer from Inter to FC Barcelona

El Nacional reports that Barcelona's interest in Inter centre-back Alessandro Bastoni is so strong that they would supposedly be willing to offer prized academy graduate Gavi in a swap deal for the Italy international.

Barcelona showed concrete interest in Alessandro Bastoni in recent days, but Inter decided to keep the centre-back for the January transfer window and rejected any departure or sale. Alessandro Bastoni stated to Sportmediaset that while he is proud of the interest from other clubs, there was nothing to it. He added that he is happy where he is, has no problems, and is not thinking about anything off the pitch.

According to Quotidiano Sportivo, Liverpool are prepared to compete with Barcelona to sign Inter center back Alessandro Bastoni if the Italian does not sign a new contract.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Internazionale's Alessandro Bastoni is the top name on FC Barcelona's list for a new central defender. Barcelona is looking to add a central defender due to the absence of Ronald Araújo and the expiring contract of Andreas Christensen. The club is aware that significant financial resources will be needed and hopes to find a way to comply with Fair Play regulations. Barcelona is aiming for a summer transfer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are interested in Alessandro Bastoni. He is considered a potential defensive option for the club for the next four to five years. Bastoni has the characteristics the club is looking for: he is left-footed, able to play as a full-back, good with the ball, experienced but not too old, familiar with top-level competition, and would be interested in joining a major club like Barcelona for the right offer. Alessandro Bastoni's contract is due to expire in 2028, and his market value is 80 million euros. Any pursuit of the defender is dependent on Barcelona resolving their Financial Fair Play limitations by the upcoming summer.

Barcelona remain interested in signing Alessandro Bastoni. FCInterNews reports that he has never considered leaving San Siro.

Barcelona are considering a double swoop for Atlético Madrid talisman Julián Alvarez and Inter center back Alessandro Bastoni for a combined sum of €180 million.

Barcelona is reportedly preparing a 200 million euro offer for Alessandro Bastoni to strengthen their defense. Bastoni is seen as a perfect match for the young Pau Cubarsi in the center-back position, bringing a blend of youth and experience at only 26 years old.

Hansi Flick, the coach of Barcelona, has identified Alessandro Bastoni as an ideal partner for Pau Cubarsí in defense. Bastoni is regarded as a player possessing elite experience, a strong presence in the locker room, and the capability to lead during crucial matches. Despite Bastoni having three years remaining on his contract with Inter Milan, Barcelona is already strategizing to make a move by the summer of 2026 to stay ahead of other European clubs that might show interest. Inter views Bastoni as non-transferable unless a significant offer is presented. Nevertheless, Barcelona remains confident that Bastoni's willingness and the appeal of the club's project will work in their favor.

Alessandro Bastoni, an essential defender for both Inter Milan and the Italian national team, has caught the attention of Deco, the current technical director at Barcelona, particularly during the Champions League semi-finals against Barcelona. Deco noted that Bastoni's playing style aligns well with Barcelona's tactical and stylistic demands for a defender capable of initiating play from the back while offering defensive reliability. As Barcelona anticipates the potential departure of Ronald Araujo in the upcoming summer transfer window, Bastoni has emerged as their top target to fill the void. With plans to move forward without Araujo, Barcelona views Bastoni's strong performances, leadership qualities, and technical prowess as making him an ideal candidate for the Catalan club.
