Alen Halilović Transfer from Fortuna Sittard to Qarabağ
Index.hr reports on the failed transfer of Alen Halilović from Fortuna Sittard to Qarabag. Alen Halilović's transfer from Fortuna Sittard to Qarabag was agreed in principle but failed at the last moment due to disagreements over the contract length. Halilović is still keen to leave, and with his contract expiring next summer, Fortuna wants to sell him to secure a transfer fee. Qarabag stopped responding after the negotiations failed.
Alen Halilović is expected to leave Fortuna Sittard soon, as confirmed by team coach Danny Buijs. He has reportedly received two offers from unnamed MLS clubs and one from Qarabag, the champion of Azerbaijan. The reason for the potential early termination of his contract is that his high salary does not justify his performance for the team. Halilović earns an annual gross salary of 300,000 euros, considered a mid-level salary within the club.
According to Italian transfer insider Lorenzo Lepore, Alen Halilović has an offer from Qarabag, the champion of Azerbaijan. Halilović, a 29-year-old Croatian attacking midfielder, has been linked with a move after being released by Rijeka in early 2023 and subsequently joining Fortuna Sittard. He has received two additional offers from unnamed MLS clubs. Halilović, who has played for clubs like Barcelona and AC Milan, is currently valued at one million euros by Transfermarkt. His contract with Fortuna Sittard is set to expire next summer.
