Ahmetcan Kaplan Transfer from Ajax to FC Köln

Earlier in the transfer period, Ajax's technical director Alex Kroes rejected a five million euro offer from FC Köln to buy out Kaplan's contract, which runs until summer 2027. It's uncertain if Ajax will receive such an offer again.

Ahmetcan Kaplan has indicated his intention to continue his career at FC Köln. Sources close to the Turkish defender reported that he had already reached an agreement on a four-year contract with the Bundesliga club. Ajax is awaiting the first offer from the Germans. Kaplan was not included in the squad for the friendly match against KV Mechelen as he was given time to finalize his transfer. Ajax's technical director, Alex Kroes, is anticipated to accept an amount between six and seven million euros, plus a resale percentage. Kaplan's career at Ajax was hampered by knee injuries, and he played only 25 matches, totaling 1922 minutes. Despite his praised abilities, he never became a regular starter.

FC Köln is also interested in Ahmetcan Kaplan and has scheduled a meeting with him to discuss a potential transfer. Additionally, it has been revealed that the meeting is set to take place today, as FC Köln aims to advance their interest in the 22-year-old Ajax defender. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market worth at 5 million euros.
