Everton are admirers of Leicester City's Abdul Fatawu. According to Football Insider, Fatawu is still a target for the Toffees and is ready to return to the Premier League. It is suggested that £20 million would be sufficient to sign Fatawu from Leicester this summer, which is significantly less than the reported £30 million release clause in his contract. Fatawu is expected to be one of Leicester’s first sales of the summer if the club is relegated to League One.

According to the Leicester Mercury, Premier League clubs are reportedly showing interest in Abdul Fatawu, and Leicester City bosses will apparently maintain a strong position against any bids from Everton this winter. When asked how City would approach interest in the player, manager Cifuentes said there is always a strategy and a plan, adding that Abdul is a very important player for Leicester City. Cifuentes also said that to his knowledge, nothing has changed, but he would not completely rule out a sale for Fatawu this month.
