Discussions between Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, his entourage, and Stade Rennais management over a potential contract extension have been taking place since last summer without an agreement being reached, and according to Sky Sports, negotiations are ongoing.

An agreement has been reached for the contract extension of Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, according to Foot Mercato. The extension links him with Stade Rennais until June 2028. The decision shows the intention of the Rennes management to continue relying on Ait Boudlal's development.

Aït-Boudlal is a 19-year-old Moroccan centre-back who is under contract until 2028, and a contract extension is being considered. He joined Stade Rennais FC in July 2024 and has earned 1 cap for Morocco. In the 2025/2026 Ligue 1 season, he has made 6 appearances, scored 2 goals, and provided 1 assist. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €1.50m.
