Cruzeiro requires over 20 million euros to start negotiations for a permanent sale, having previously rejected proposals from Benfica, Zenit, and Real Sociedad that did not meet its valuation. Jonathan Jesus, who joined Cruzeiro in July 2024 and has a contract until June 2029, made 15 appearances in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A during the 2025/2026 season.
