Nottingham Forest targets José Sá as goalkeeper solution

The club has made the Wolves goalkeeper their primary target for a transfer following a significant injury.

Nottingham Forest requires a goalkeeper after John Victor suffered a knee injury that requires surgery and will likely cause him to miss the rest of the season, leaving the team with just Mats Sels. Forest has made Wolves' 33-year-old Portuguese goalkeeper, José Sá, their primary target. Forest also pursued Sá in 2023, although a transfer did not happen then.

While Sá's contract runs until 2027, Wolves facing a potential relegation could create new circumstances for a transfer. This season, Sá has made 11 appearances in the Premier League and has been capped 3 times for Portugal. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €5.00m. West Ham United have also been linked with the goalkeeper.
