Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Nottingham Forest is interested in Manchester City's Tijjani Reijnders. The 28-year-old Dutch international midfielder is on Forest's shortlist. Atlético Madrid and Newcastle United, which had shown interest earlier in the window, appear to have withdrawn. It is reported that Manchester City wants approximately 64 million euros for Reijnders, who is himself open to the move. The possibility of becoming an important player with significant game time under Oliver Glasner is said to appeal to him, particularly after his role was reduced to that of a substitute during the second half of the last season. Despite a new manager being in place at City, the club is reportedly willing to sell Reijnders to create a place for an incoming player. There has not yet been any contact between the clubs about a potential transfer.
Reijnders has 35 caps and 7 goals for the Netherlands and joined Manchester City from AC Milan in June 2025 for a fee reported to be in the €55-60 million range. His current contract runs until 2030, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €50.00m.
