Feyenoord is pursuing Lutsharel Geertruida, a 26-year-old defender for the Netherlands national team. The club reportedly acted immediately upon learning of PSV's interest in the defender. The Eindhovens Dagblad reported that Geertruida had a strong interest in moving to Eindhoven and that a personal agreement would not pose an issue. In reaction to this, Feyenoord's technical director, Dévy Rigaux, contacted Geertruida and his representatives to discuss a possible return to De Kuip. This is a move that manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst would reportedly welcome.
No discussions have occurred between Feyenoord and RB Leipzig yet. The club has only communicated its interest to the player's representatives and has not yet made a concrete offer. Geertruida has 21 caps for the Netherlands, holds a contract with RB Leipzig until June 2029, and has a market value of €20.00m, according to Transfermarkt. In the 2025/2026 Bundesliga season, he made 24 appearances and scored one goal.
