Everton has reportedly made contact to sign 28-year-old Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahçe, with the Premier League club aiming to complete the transfer during the winter window. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Everton has submitted an official offer to loan the striker with a €20 million purchase option. Fenerbahçe is reportedly open to both loan and permanent transfer options and is open to the player's departure, partly because En-Nesyri has recently lost his starting place and a move would free up a spot in their foreign player quota. The club's management is currently evaluating the terms of the proposal.
With negotiations ongoing, further developments are expected in the coming days. En-Nesyri has 90 caps and 25 goals for Morocco, has scored 7 goals in 15 Süper Lig appearances this season, and is under contract until June 2029. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €22.00m. In addition to Everton, Nottingham Forest and several clubs in Saudi Arabia have been recently linked with the player. Recent reports from January 2026 mention bids from Nottingham Forest of between €20 million and €30 million, and Fenerbahçe's asking price is reportedly in the €25 million to €35 million range. En-Nesyri joined Fenerbahçe from Sevilla in July 2024 for a fee of €19.5 million.
