Yasin Ayari is the subject of a reported link to Chelsea, according to TeamTalk. The outlet understands that Brighton and Ayari have been discussing new terms since before the summer, but negotiations have encountered difficulties. Ayari’s contract is scheduled to expire at the end of the season, although Brighton possesses an option to extend it by a further year. Should they activate this clause, he would have 18 months left on his deal, and the club's priority would then be to sell him before his value diminishes. While securing a place in the Champions League might persuade Ayari to sign a new deal, it is thought that large offers from clubs such as Chelsea are likely to be attractive to him.
