After showing interest in Altay Bayındır of Manchester United, Beşiktaş has reportedly added a new goalkeeper target. The club's primary objective is now José Sá, a 33-year-old Portuguese player from Wolverhampton, a club that was relegated from the Premier League. Beşiktaş is investigating the conditions of a potential transfer and is closely monitoring the situation. Although Sá has two seasons left on his contract, with one being an option, the Beşiktaş management intends to sign him without paying a transfer fee.

It is being discussed that the player might mutually terminate his contract with Wolverhampton. If the goalkeeper becomes a free agent, it is expected that official talks will intensify because the management views this as a financially beneficial opportunity. Sá joined Wolverhampton in July 2021, made 23 appearances in the Premier League last season and has earned four caps for Portugal. His market value is €3.50m, according to Transfermarkt. Olympiakos Piraeus and Nottingham Forest have also been linked with the goalkeeper.
