According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Hungarian midfielder Alex Tóth is set to complete a transfer from Ferencváros to Bournemouth for a fee of around €12 million, with only an official announcement pending. The 20-year-old has already undergone his medical with the Premier League club. The club moved ahead of Lazio in the effort to sign the player.
Lazio's sporting director, Angelo Fabiani, had recently commented on the situation, saying that Toth was unknown until he was endorsed by their coach, at which point he suddenly became a player seemingly of interest to a club like Chelsea. Toth, who joined Ferencváros in January 2024, has a contract until June 2028. He has 9 caps for Hungary and has recorded 1 goal and 2 assists in 14 domestic league appearances this season. His current market value is €8.00m, according to Transfermarkt. During January 2026, Ferencváros's asking price was reportedly between €15 million and €16 million, and reports suggested Lazio's final offer reached €12 million.
