Matvey Safonov

In October 2025, reports cited Matvey Safonov's Transfermarkt value at €18 million, a slight decrease from a reported €20 million valuation in August 2025. The most significant concrete figure is his completed transfer from Krasnodar to Paris Saint Germain in July 2024 for a fee of €20 million. For market context, it was also reported in August 2025 that PSG signed another goalkeeper, Luca Chevalier, for €40 million.

Our valuation for Matvey Safonov is primarily driven by his recent transfer to PSG from Krasnodar in July 2024 for a €20 million fee. This is balanced against his current status as a backup goalkeeper and reports that PSG is open to his departure, which is also reflected in his recent Transfermarkt valuation of €18 million. This suggests his current value is slightly below what PSG initially paid.
