Matvey Safonov Transfer from Paris Saint Germain to Galatasaray
It was reported by the Russian media outlet Sov Sport that Matvey Safonov does not rule out leaving Paris this winter or next summer. Galatasaray is one of the clubs ready to welcome him.
According to Sov Sport, Matvey Safonov has contacts in Turkey, where Galatasaray explored the situation last summer.
Russian coach Alexey Chistyakov, who previously worked with PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, mentioned the possibility of the goalkeeper leaving the French club. It was previously reported that the services of the Krasnodar graduate were offered to the Turkish club Galatasaray. Chistyakov advised that if Matvey receives invitations, he should leave, as there are no options for him to play at PSG. Offers from Turkey or elsewhere on better terms should be considered. Between Europe and Russia, it's better to stay in Europe to maintain a higher status.
Paris Saint-Germain offered their 26-year-old Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov to Galatasaray. Galatasaray responded that they are interested in top-tier goalkeepers like Ederson, but would consider Safonov if their preferred options are not available. Safonov's contract with the Parisian club runs until June 2029, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €20.00m.
