Our valuation is driven by multiple, consistent reports from August 2026 stating an agreement has been reached for James Ward-Prowse to rejoin Southampton for a nominal fee of around £1 million (~€1.2 million). This low figure is strongly supported by his situation: being in the final year of his contract, out of favour at West Ham, and the buying club being in the Championship. The much larger historical fee from 2023 is not indicative of his current market value.
