Zion Suzuki Transfer from Parma to Milan
According to Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea and AC Milan are both tracking the Japan international. Milan are evaluating depth and succession planning for their primary goalkeeper and are looking for a long-term replacement for Mike Maignan. The Premier League club would have to face competition from Milan. There has been no public mention on price, but the starting price for the 23-year-old international, who has demonstrated his ability in Serie A, will not be modest. The transfer could occur in January or the summer.
Tuttosport reports that a Milan observer watched Zion Suzuki and that Milan has targeted the Japanese goalkeeper for the future. Milan and Chelsea are both monitoring Suzuki's development closely. Parma paid approximately 8 million euros for Suzuki's transfer fee, and it is felt that a minimum of 25 million euros would now be required to acquire him.
According to Nicolo Schira, AC Milan have a high opinion of Suzuki and are considering signing him if Mike Maignan leaves on a free transfer at the end of the season. Milan scouts were present on Sunday when Suzuki saved an injury-time penalty, resulting in a 0-0 draw for Parma against Genoa. Chelsea are the favourites to sign Maignan, and if this occurs, Milan are expected to attempt to sign Suzuki.
AC Milan is interested in the arrival of Suzuki, as the club will be parting ways with Mike Maignan.
Zion Suzuki is an alternative for AC Milan if the deal for Mile Svilar doesn't go through. Suzuki is currently at Parma. Milan are considering Suzuki as they seek potential replacements for their current goalkeeper, Mike Maignan, who is linked with a move to Chelsea. Chelsea's pursuit of Maignan has prompted Milan to explore options like Suzuki and former Leeds United deputy Elia Caprile. This interest in Suzuki is part of Milan's broader strategy to strengthen their goalkeeping options amid uncertainties surrounding Maignan's future at the club.
