French club Strasbourg have shown interest in Swansea City's 24-year-old Slovenian striker Žan Vipotnik, though it is understood this interest is only tentative. The striker has drawn interest from several clubs after winning the Golden Boot with 23 goals and 3 assists in the Championship last season. Despite Vipotnik recently signing an improved contract that runs until June 2030, Swansea anticipates interest this summer, although no formal offers have yet been made. West Ham United monitored the player in January and are thought to still be monitoring him. There was also interest from clubs in Italy at that time. Initial discussions have also occurred with Benfica, and reports elsewhere have linked Sporting to the player. Swansea set a £15m valuation on the player in January, and reports in May 2026 suggested the asking price had increased to around €30 million. Vipotnik has 26 caps and 5 goals for Slovenia, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €22.00m.
