Tuttomercatoweb reports that SSC Napoli has expressed interest in Zakaria El Ouahdi, who the club reportedly sees as a suitable backup and potential successor for Giovanni Di Lorenzo. The same report states that sporting director Giovanni Manna is closely involved, although no official offer has been made so far.

Napoli is reportedly one of several clubs interested in KRC Genk's 24-year-old Moroccan international right-back, Zakaria El Ouahdi, and the prospect of his potential sale is increasing. Besides Napoli, other clubs said to be showing interest include PSV, Olympique Marseille, AS Roma, and Real Betis. El Ouahdi was also linked with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany earlier in the week. Genk is expected to focus on two more significant outgoing transfers, including that of El Ouahdi. The four-cap Morocco international joined Genk from RWDM in September 2023 for a reported €2.5 million and his contract runs until June 2028. His current market value is €17.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
