According to Tuttomercato, Napoli and Roma attempted to sign 19-year-old Italian midfielder Alessio Cacciamani. Both clubs were very insistent in their efforts to sign the player, who joined Torino in July 2025. Napoli sought Cacciamani for Allegri's squad, while Roma sought him for Gasperini's squad. It is said that Gasperini in particular made a strong effort to sign the former Juve Stabia player. However, Torino's president, Cairo, refused multiple times and would only have sold the talent from the class of 2007 for an offer considered to be off-the-market, and such an offer was not made. As a result, Cacciamani's contract was renewed until 2031. In September 2026, it was reported that during the summer, Roma had offers of €12 million plus bonuses and €15 million rejected. Torino's asking price was said to be €20 million. The player's current market value on Transfermarkt is €12.00m.
