Japanese international Yuta Nakayama, 29, is expected to join Crvena Zvezda from the Japanese club Machida Zelvia in a transfer valued at 1.1 million euros, which is contingent on a medical examination being completed. Crvena Zvezda will pay the fee in three installments over the next three years. Nakayama is a left-footed defender who can play as a center-back and also in the defensive midfield position. He has significant European experience, which includes three seasons with Dutch club Zwolle and two with England's Huddersfield Town prior to returning to Japan in 2024. He has 22 caps for Japan, and his current market value is listed as €1.50m by Transfermarkt.
