Southampton, Dinamo Moscow, and Crvena zvezda are competing to sign 22-year-old Lazio striker Petar Ratkov, who holds both Serbian and Croatian citizenship. The Serbian international (3 caps) had previously rejected a move to Southampton earlier in the window, but has since become more open to a departure after it became clear he would not be part of manager Gennaro Gattuso's plans. Ratkov is now increasingly receptive to leaving, and Lazio is looking to sell him. The forward only joined Lazio in January 2026 from Red Bull Salzburg for a reported fee of €13 million and has a contract with the club until June 2030. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €9.00m. In August 2026, Dinamo Moscow reportedly offered €15 million plus bonuses for the player. It was said that Lazio accepted this bid. A separate report suggested the Russian club was prepared to offer as much as €18 million.
