Interest in Youssouf Fofana has come mainly from the Premier League, with clubs such as Brighton recently expressing interest. No formal offer has been made to Milan for Fofana. The club values the player between 15 and 20 million euros. The player has dismissed a return to France. His net salary is 3 million euros, which is not considered an obstacle, but his future is uncertain due to the absence of concrete negotiations.

Gerry Cardinale, owner of RedBird, has informed Youssouf Fofana and his agent that if he does not find a new club by September 2, he will remain out of the squad but will continue to receive his salary until January. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Brighton has an interest in Fofana, but there have been no in-depth contacts between the parties.

Brighton is one of the clubs interested in Milan's Youssouf Fofana. Crystal Palace is also reportedly interested in the midfielder, but for the moment, no official proposals have been submitted to Milan. The player, born in 1999, is not part of Ruben Amorim's plans and was consequently excluded from the squad for the trip to Turin. Fofana is set to leave on a permanent transfer because Milan, where his contract runs until 2028, wants to resolve his future now rather than postponing the decision for another year.
