Youssef En-Nesyri has terminated his contract with Fenerbahçe and has signed with Al-Ittihad, who are currently sixth in the Saudi Pro League.

According to Tuttomercato, the transfer of Youssef En-Nesyri to Al-Ittihad was delayed because it was not ratified in time by the competent authorities, which caused the deal to be postponed. In recent hours, contacts between the two clubs have resumed and an agreement was reached. The Moroccan is making the journey to Saudi Arabia.

Following Karim Benzema's departure to Al-Hilal due to a contract dispute, Al-Ittihad agreed to allow N'Golo Kante to transfer to Fenerbahce on the condition that they would receive Youssef En-Nesyri in return. An agreement was reached, but Al-Ittihad submitted erroneous paperwork, and the deadline passed. FIFA has rejected an appeal to belatedly approve the transfer, which means Al-Ittihad cannot sign En-Nesyri.

Tuttomercato reports on the transfer complications involving En Nesyri and Al Ittihad and states that the player could have signed for the club during this transfer window. Separately, Fenerbahce announced that it was impossible to complete the swap deal between En Nesyri and Kanté. According to the Tuttomercato report, Fenerbahce stated that a total agreement had been reached with both players and that all necessary medical examinations were completed. Fenerbahce also stated, per the report, that the operation did not conclude due to data entry errors by Al Ittihad. The club further stated that they contacted FIFA to request an extension, but Al Ittihad did not complete the necessary procedures and did not provide a justification.

As part of the transfer of N’Golo Kanté, Al-Ittihad negotiated an exchange involving Youssef En-Nesyri. The transfer of En-Nesyri to Al-Ittihad was entered into FIFA's TMS system, but after the deadline had passed. An extension was requested to validate this transfer, which would have allowed for the officialization of N’Golo Kanté's move to Fenerbahçe. The process was not finalized.

Turkish reports state that two deals which had been agreed upon have been canceled, and one of these was for Youssef En-Nesyri. In a statement on the social media platform X, Fenerbahce stated they had handled and submitted all documents to finalize the deals. The club also criticized the Saudi club because their documents were not in order, stating this was the reason the deals could not be approved before the transfer window in Saudi Arabia closed.

TRT Spor reported that Youssef En-Nesyri is preparing to transfer from Fenerbahçe to Al-Ittihad. It was stated that the Moroccan player said goodbye to his teammates after the match against Kocaelispor. It was also noted that Youssef En-Nesyri will soon leave Istanbul to go to Saudi Arabia for medical examinations and to sign the official contract.

Youssef En-Nesyri has accepted Al-Ittihad's offer, according to Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, and the official signing is pending approval from the Saudi Pro League.
