Potential suitors could again attempt to sign Chermiti, following interest from Besiktas, as the Gers are perhaps inclined to sell him this time if a suitable replacement is found.

A report from Turkish daily Takvim states that Besiktas plan to make an official offer for Rangers striker Youssef Chermiti in the summer. The report also states that Besiktas consider the 22-year-old striker a sound long-term investment.

Besiktas have been linked with a move for Youssef Chermiti, a 21-year-old centre-forward and Portugal Under-21 international who also holds Tunisian citizenship. He has struggled since moving from Everton in September 2025. According to reports, Rangers fans have not been satisfied with the forward's performance and would not oppose his departure in the summer. Chermiti has 4 goals and 2 assists in 17 Scottish Premiership appearances this season. He has also been linked with interest from Fenerbahçe, Feyenoord, and Galatasaray. In January 2026, reports stated Rangers rejected offers of €15 million from those clubs, as well as bids of more than £20 million. Rangers signed Chermiti for a fee of €8.6 million and his contract runs until June 2029. His current Transfermarkt market value is €6.00m.
