According to Bild, Diomande is of interest to Man City following his development at Leipzig. City are reportedly among the clubs that send scouts to regularly attend Leipzig matches to watch the winger and request videos for assessment. Bild also states that it is becoming increasingly likely that at least one top club will try to sign Diomande in the next summer transfer window. Leipzig director of sport Marcel Schafer recently admitted that such a deal would validate the club's work, but he hopes to retain the Ivory Coast international for at least one or two more years. A high transfer fee will be necessary to sign Diomande. Leipzig is in a strong negotiating position because the forward does not have a release clause and his contract runs until June 2030. If Diomande's performances are maintained, he could be sold for a price similar to that of Benjamin Sesko (£74 million) or Josko Gvardiol (£77 million).

He has an estimated market value of 20 million euros and earns an annual salary of 750,000 euros in Germany.
