William Baeten Transfer from FCSB to Slobozia Mare
Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, made an attempt to part ways with William Baeten by offering him 100,000 euros to terminate his contract. Baeten declined the offer. Becali expressed his preference for paying players to leave if they lack value, rather than investing effort in training them. According to Becali, if Baeten had agreed to depart in the winter, he could have received the money from FCSB and additionally earned 50,000 euros from Slobozia. Nevertheless, Baeten turned down the total offer of 150,000 euros. Baeten was acquired by FCSB from Adrian Mititelu's relegated team in the summer of the previous year for 300,000 euros. Since his arrival at FCSB, Baeten has participated in 18 matches, scoring once over 563 minutes of play. His contract with FCSB is due to expire in the summer.
