Wilfried Kanga Transfer from Dinamo Zagreb to Servette
Wilfried Kanga, who became part of Dinamo Zagreb in January, might soon depart from the club as he has not met expectations. Several Swiss clubs, such as Servette from Geneva, have shown interest in him. His experience with Swiss football and the demand for a physically strong forward make him an appealing choice. Although he had a modest season, he still holds a good reputation in European football. Transfermarkt has estimated his market value at 2.5 million euros. Kanga was brought in as an emergency solution for the striker role following Bruno Petkovic's long-term injury, with Dinamo paying just under two million euros in transfer fees to Hertha. Despite his contract running until December 2027, the club's new management led by Zvonimir Boban is contemplating a squad revamp, which might not be compatible with Kanga's substantial salary of approximately 700,000 euros per year. His output, with three goals in 15 league matches, has been considered inadequate. Kanga's previous experience includes playing for teams like Angers, Kayserispor, Young Boys, Hertha, Standard Liege, and Cardiff. His background in Swiss football, especially with Young Boys, makes him a good candidate for a potential return to Switzerland, where he could reinvigorate his career.
