According to Globo.com, the Alviverde board is considering a potential contract renewal for 38-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Weverton. The report states the board understands Weverton is an important figure in the group and is willing to offer a one-year renewal in the coming months, until December 2027, which is its practice with more experienced players. Weverton joined Palmeiras in January 2018 and has been capped 10 times for Brazil. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €700k. He has also been linked with other Brazilian clubs, including Grêmio and Bahia.
