Weverson Transfer from Arouca to Hellas Verona
Hellas Verona is nearing the acquisition of Weverson Moreira da Costa, commonly known as 'Weverson', on a free transfer. Weverson, a Brazilian left-back born in 2000, spent the previous season with Arouca in Portugal, where he made 26 appearances, scored one goal, and contributed three assists. He opted not to renew his contract with Arouca, a club he had been with for the past three years, and is in the process of finalizing his move to Verona as a free agent. Weverson's professional career began in Brazil, where he progressed through the youth system at São Paulo before playing for Red Bull Bragantino from 2020 to 2022. In January 2023, he transferred to Arouca, establishing himself as a regular starter and accumulating 56 appearances with two goals during his time there. His contract with Arouca ended on June 30, 2025, making him a sought-after free agent in the market. Furthermore, Weverson has played for Brazil at various youth levels, and was part of the team that won the South American Under-17 Championship in 2017.
