Walace leaving Cruzeiro?
ESPN BR reports that the club is handling Walace's situation more cautiously and considering a loan for the player. Walace wants to have more playing time and continues to explore the market in search of a new club.
According to Globo.com, Walace is close to leaving Cruzeiro. Walace was the most expensive signing in the first transfer window under the current administration.
Bruno Spindel, director of football at Cruzeiro, stated that the decision to leave 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder Walace out of the squad was due to inquiries received for him. He said that they had had a series of inquiries from Brazilian clubs and clubs abroad, and that they were analyzing these situations, which was why he was not included. There are no advanced negotiations for Walace's departure. Cruzeiro is open to negotiations, but Walace has a contract until 2027. Since mid-last year, Walace has received inquiries but had decided against opening negotiations, choosing to focus on adapting at Cruzeiro. The player's and staff's stance had been to remain at Cruzeiro due to adaptation to the club and Belo Horizonte and aiming for titles. Walace, who has been capped five times by Brazil, joined Cruzeiro in July 2024. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €4.50m.
