Vitor Roque Transfer from Palmeiras to Manchester United
Sources have told TEAMtalk’s transfer insider, Dean Jones, that Manchester United are not planning to sign a new striker in the January transfer window. The club would consider a new signing in attack if Benjamin Sesko were to be out for a prolonged period. TEAMtalk sources have indicated that currently, they do not have a clear vision of a suitable player who could become available in January.
Vitor Roque's agent has revealed that a €50 million offer from a Premier League club is expected soon. Manchester United is monitoring his situation.
Vitor Roque's representative, André Cury, has stated that they are receiving a large number of calls from European clubs, mainly from the Premier League and Italian clubs, to ask about the price and conditions, but noted that it is the middle of the season. Cury pointed out that, among all the interested clubs, Manchester United is the club most likely to sign the player. He added that they already had an offer of 35 million euros from the Arab world, which was not of interest to them, and are now waiting to receive a proposal of around 50 million euros from the Premier League.
A report from Sports Illustrated, via SPORT, indicates that Man United are closely monitoring Vitor Roque’s progress and are prepared to make a €50 million bid to bring him back to Europe. The club has been tracking the striker for months, and scouts were reportedly impressed by his explosive pace, clinical finishing, and ability to lead the line. Sources close to United indicate that Old Trafford could be his preferred destination, given the club’s reputation for developing young South American talent. If a €50 million transfer were to be completed, Barcelona would earn €10 million as they hold 20% of Roque’s future rights.
Mundo Deportivo reported that Manchester United would be willing to pay 50 million euros for Vitor Roque. The report added that 20 percent of this amount, which is 10 million euros, would go to Barcelona, who previously sold the player at a loss. Manchester United is described as the club courting the player most determinedly among European clubs.
According to ESPN, Manchester United is reportedly interested in Vitor Roque, a 20-year-old Brazilian striker who plays for Palmeiras. The English club is looking for a forward for the first half of 2026. The search is partly motivated by Benjamin Sesko not having performed impressively since his arrival. ESPN's reporting indicates that the current United manager, Ruben Amorim, previously attempted to sign Roque for Sporting when the player was at Barcelona; however, the negotiations were unsuccessful. While there is interest, it is not certain that an official offer will be made to Palmeiras. The Brazilian club is currently not considering selling the player, and Roque is focused on winning titles with his current team, though he is not ruling out a future return to Europe. Roque, who has one cap for Brazil, joined Palmeiras in February 2025 and is under contract until the end of 2029. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €20.00m. Other Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, have also been recently linked with the forward.
