Valentin Cojocaru, a 30-year-old Romanian goalkeeper, is reportedly in talks with representatives of FC Universitatea Cluj. The Romanian club is seeking a new goalkeeper to replace Edvinas Gertmonas and the coach wants the new player to join as soon as possible for full participation in summer training camps. While Răzvan Sava is another candidate being considered, Cojocaru is the primary candidate for Universitatea Cluj, as acquiring Sava would reportedly be more difficult financially. Talks with Cojocaru are said to be underway. His contract with Pogon Szczecin, which he joined in July 2024, is valid until June 30, 2027, but an early end to their cooperation is considered possible. Cojocaru has no senior caps for Romania and his current market value is €700k, according to Transfermarkt.
