Tomáš Čvančara Transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach to Celtic

Celtic are set to end a 12-month search for a striker with a move for Borussia Monchengladbach striker Tomas Cvancara. Discussions over a loan with an option to buy the 25-year-old are understood to be at an advanced stage. According to Record Sport, Celtic are in the leading position to sign Cvancara and he could be available for Sunday’s match against Hearts. It is believed the player has already agreed personal terms, with the final details of the deal being finalised. The forward spent the first part of the season on loan at Antalyaspor, where he scored one goal, but his loan was terminated early and Monchengladbach are willing to let him leave.

Tomáš Čvančara, a Bundesliga player, has been linked with a move to Celtic. The club is understood to be in advanced negotiations with Borussia Mönchengladbach over a deal. According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, the striker has already agreed to personal terms with the Glasgow side. The transfer is said to be in its final stages between the clubs and is expected to be a loan with an option to buy. This follows the 25-year-old being excused from a team training session by the German club towards the beginning of January to find a new team. This occurred after he had a failed loan spell at Turkish Süper Lig side Antalyaspor and subsequently failed to impress Eugen Polanski upon his return to Gladbach.
