Tobias Sommer, a 24-year-old Danish midfielder, joins PEC Zwolle from the Danish club Sönderjyske. Sommer, who has 8 caps for the Denmark U19 team, played 79 matches for Sönderjyske, scoring three goals and providing twelve assists; in the 2025/2026 Superliga season, he made 35 appearances with one goal and five assists. At PEC Zwolle, Sommer signs a contract for three years until mid-2029. Gerry Hamstra, technical director of PEC Zwolle, stated on the club website that Tobias Sommer is a player they have been interested in for some time and that this summer the opportunity arose to acquire him. Hamstra also commented on Sommer's versatile playing style and the expectation that he will quickly adapt to PEC Zwolle's style of play. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.50m.
