Thomas Ouwejan is moving to Machida Zelvia in Japan. The move allows the 29-year-old Dutch left-back to leave, as he has not been part of NEC's plans for some time, particularly since Dick Schreuder took charge. Ouwejan has not played a single minute for the Nijmegen club this season. At Machida Zelvia, he will join Koki Ogawa, who also transferred from NEC during this transfer period. Ouwejan's previous clubs include AZ, Schalke 04, and Udinese. His contract at NEC runs until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €700k. Ouwejan has also been capped 12 times for the Netherlands U21 team.
