According to a report from David Ornstein, 34-year-old Belgian full-back Thomas Meunier is set to sign for Sunderland. The English club has reportedly surpassed Valencia in the bid for the player by offering a more advantageous contract than the one proposed by the club known as 'Che'. Meunier, who is currently a free agent, has 83 caps and 10 goals for Belgium and a Transfermarkt market value of €1.50m. In addition to Valencia, several Belgian clubs, including Club Brugge and Anderlecht, had also been recently linked with the defender.
