PEC Zwolle has finalized a loan agreement with FC Groningen for Thijs Oosting. The 25-year-old midfielder, known for his versatility, will spend the upcoming season with Zwolle, who also have an option to purchase him permanently. Oosting began his football journey at FC Emmen, progressed through AZ's youth system, and has since played for RKC Waalwijk, AZ, Willem II, and most recently, FC Groningen. Throughout his career, he has accumulated 37 goals and 21 assists over 147 matches. Gerry Hamstra, the technical director, commended Oosting's attributes, particularly his adaptability and offensive capabilities, which he stated align well with the team's needs. Hamstra expressed confidence that Zwolle offers an ideal environment for Oosting's further development. Oosting is set to join the team's training camp in Epe and regards PEC Zwolle as a promising progression in his career. The midfielder, whose father is FC Twente trainer Joseph Oosting, mentioned that his discussions with PEC Zwolle left him feeling very positive, noting the club's appreciation for his skills and ambitions.
