According to Voetbalprimeur.nl, eighteen-year-old Dutch midfielder Thijmen Romers has signed a new contract with Ajax until mid-2029; his previous deal was set to run until 2027. Romers, who came from the youth setup of Sparta Rotterdam, primarily plays for Ajax's under-19s this season but has also featured in four matches for Jong Ajax. Across all competitions for the U19s in the 2025/2026 season, he has made 17 appearances and scored 5 goals. The youth international also has 3 caps for the Netherlands U18 team.
