Takefusa Kubo Transfer from Real Sociedad to Everton
Everton is considering Takefusa Kubo as a more likely alternative to Malick Fofana.
Team Talk has reported on Everton's efforts to acquire Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo. Everton is making significant efforts to secure the signing of the Japanese winger. The club is preparing to make a formal bid for Kubo. Initial contact has been made between Everton and Real Sociedad regarding the move, and Everton is now planning to intensify its efforts. Real Sociedad is willing to consider offers around €40 million (£34.6m / $46.7m), albeit reluctantly. Kubo has attracted interest from clubs in the Bundesliga and LaLiga, but he is particularly interested in moving to the Premier League, which favors Everton. The club has already engaged with Kubo’s agents and feels confident about their chances of completing the transfer. However, Sociedad is unlikely to agree to any sale until after their pre-season tour of Japan concludes. Kubo's release clause is set at €60 million (£51.9m / $70m), although Sociedad is not anticipated to demand the full amount. Additionally, Real Madrid included a 50% sell-on clause in Kubo’s contract when he was sold to Sociedad in 2022.
