Slovak football club FC Košice has reached an agreement with Japanese club Vissel Kobe for the loan of 18-year-old offensive midfielder Taiga Seguchi until June 14, 2027. The club's sporting director, Terry Westley, stated that Vissel Kobe is interested in sending its elite young players to Europe for their development and that this was a great opportunity to acquire the talented player following his very good performances for Japan at the U17 Asian Championship. Seguchi, a Japanese youth international, will join the Niké liga participant after the international break and once all necessary administrative processes related to his move are completed. The loan agreement is conditional on Seguchi passing a medical examination and obtaining a work permit. He has 3 caps for the Japan U20 national team. Polish club Górnik Zabrze had also been linked with the midfielder.
