Scottish central midfielder Stevie Mallan, 30, has the chance of a possible St Mirren return. Mallan is a free agent after leaving St Johnstone, following their Championship win. Boss Craig McLeish has taken Mallan with him on St Mirren's pre-season trip to Spain. McLeish confirmed Mallan came in and did pre-season with St Mirren's under-19s last year. McLeish stated that Mallan had found himself without a club and that they had said he could come in and train with them. Mallan has been capped nine times for the Scotland U21 team, scoring one goal, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €50k.
