René van der Gijp considers it incomprehensible that Feyenoord has not yet signed Souffian El Karouani, the left-back of Utrecht. PSV previously made an attempt to sign El Karouani, who was one of the notable players at FC Utrecht this season with eleven assists in the Eredivisie.

René van der Gijp stated that Souffian El Karouani would be a reinforcement for Feyenoord. According to Van der Gijp, El Karouani is almost a free agent and would easily play for all three top clubs, which are Ajax, Feyenoord, and PSV.

Souffian El Karouani is also attracting interest from Feyenoord in the Netherlands, thanks to his performances and especially his assists.
