Skelly Alvero leaving SV Werder Bremen?

Skelly Alvero was considered a clear loan candidate this summer after a disappointing season. However, it is now confirmed by Peter Niemeyer, the head of professional football at Werder Bremen, that Alvero still has a future at the club. Horst Steffen has reviewed the squad via video and plans to integrate Alvero into the preparations to get a better sense of his abilities on the field. Alvero's contract with Werder Bremen runs until 2028.

SV Werder Bremen seems to be losing patience with Skelly Alvero due to his limited playtime. Peter Niemeyer, the professional chief, expressed that the situation cannot continue for another season and a solution needs to be found for the moment. Although Alvero has made twelve appearances this season, he has only accumulated 231 minutes of playtime. The club is still convinced of his potential but suggests a loan move to France. However, the decision will be made after the last Bundesliga match against 1. FC Heidenheim.

Werder Bremen is considering letting Skelly Alvero leave after the season, possibly initially on a loan basis. The club is not satisfied with his current form, as he has not been able to make a significant impact in his recent appearances. Skelly Alvero was not included in the squad recently. He was signed just a few months ago from Olympique Lyon for 4.75 million Euros, but has not met expectations with only 231 minutes played in twelve appearances.

Werder Bremen is interested in keeping Skelly Alvero beyond the end of the season. However, the purchase option agreed for Alvero (contract in Lyon until 2028) of 6.25 million euros is too high for Werder. There is a possibility of trying to loan Alvero again, if Alvero is willing.
