QS reports that Cesena has taken steps in recent weeks to try to anticipate the competition for Simone Bonetti.

Following Reggiana's relegation to Serie C, several Serie B clubs are interested in 21-year-old Italian left-back Simone Bonetti, after he made 25 appearances and provided one assist. According to TuttoC.com, both Catanzaro and Cesena are evaluating signing the player for the next season. It is believed Reggiana would have difficulty retaining Bonetti if offers were made from a higher division. Bonetti joined Reggiana in July 2025 and has a contract that is valid until June 30, 2028.
