Billy Magnusson stated that Västerås SK wants to extend the contract of Simon Gefvert, a 29-year-old Swedish winger. Magnusson said that they have a good dialogue, that Gefvert has been in all matches and has been with the club for many years, and that, as was the case last year, they would like to see a continuation. Magnusson added that Gefvert is evaluating various aspects regarding his decision and that the discussions are good and healthy. Gefvert, who joined the club in March 2021, has a contract that expires on December 31, 2026. In the 2025/2026 Allsvenskan season, he has made 24 appearances, scoring one goal and providing four assists. His current Transfermarkt market value is €800k.
