Famana Quizera, a 24-year-old offensive midfielder from Guinea-Bissau with Portuguese citizenship, is set to sign with Petrolul. He is currently a free agent after his contract with Leiria ended in the summer, has been training with the team for some time, and has participated in friendly matches. An agreement has reportedly been reached for a one-and-a-half-season contract, and the player is expected to officially join in the winter. According to Claudiu Tudor, only a few details remain to be settled, and Quizera is considered their player in principle. Tudor mentioned that the midfielder, who can operate as a number 10 or a winger, was proposed by coach Ricardo Sousa and was scouted for a long time. He added that Quizera is a player of great quality, comparing his style to that of Ongenda, and also noted that the player has experience in the top Portuguese league. Quizera's youth career included time at the academies of Benfica and Borussia Monchengladbach. He has six caps for Guinea-Bissau. His current market value is €100k, according to Transfermarkt.
