Simon Adingra Transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion to Sunderland
According to Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie, Sunderland have reached an agreement with Brighton for a £20.5m deal to bring Simon Adingra to the club. The deal is reported to include £18m with an additional £2.5m in add-ons. The Ivorian forward has reportedly arrived in the North East via private jet and is currently undergoing a medical examination. It is also reported that personal terms have been agreed. Previously, Sunderland's attempt to secure Adingra in a swap deal involving Tommy Watson was unsuccessful as it collapsed on Deadline Day. The 23-year-old winger, who has been linked with West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd, is recognized for his quick footwork and his ability to either shoot or send a cross along the face of goal from a dribble. These attributes are expected to bring excitement and unpredictability to Sunderland's attack. Even though Adingra has scored 12 goals and made five assists in 73 appearances during his two-year stint in England, his potential signing is viewed as a strategic move to bolster Sunderland's wing options as they make their return to the Premier League.
