Silvan Wallner has chosen to conclude his professional football career at the age of 22. He informed his club, Blau-Weiß Linz, that due to personal reasons, he is unable to continue his active professional career as a footballer. The decision was influenced by his religious beliefs as a Christian, as he wishes to observe the biblical day of rest and not participate in professional football on Saturdays. This decision resulted in a mutual agreement for early contract termination. The confidentiality of the termination modalities has been agreed upon. Wallner had joined Blau-Weiß Linz from FC Zürich in September 2024 and made five appearances for the club.
